Traverse City Real Estate Sales Up Dramatically!

Thus far we are looking at a 30% increase in sales of residential properties in Grand Traverse county from Jan 1st to October 17th.   Traverse City realtors are saying that they are still very busy with buyers who are qualified and ready to buy now.  The average buyer looks at 9 homes before making their first offer accord to a recent survey in the Grand Traverse area.  That is great news compared to a year ago when the same survey revealed an average of 12 homes.  Buyers are more educated due to the internet and becasue interest rates are "crazy" low, they are motivated to pull the trigger quicker than in recent years by comparison.  You can see below Traverse City real estate sales increase by the 30% when there were 1127 residential homes closed this year compared with only 866 the previous year during the exact same period.  These stats are available to all Realtors in the Traverse Area Association of Realtors.  We can confidently say now that we are past the bottom and climbing up with vigor given the past 3 years of having double digit increases!  Now is the time to buy and now is the time to sell!  The perfect storm.
