Welcome to my Website

I am excited to sell real estate in Benzie County!  I believe in the quality of life available here as a resident that has been in the area for five generations.  The opportunities that abound in scenic and recreational treasures as well as career potential make Benzie County a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire.

Personal Background

I graduated from Michigan Technological University with a BS in Biology and Environmental Engineering, as well as teacher certification.  After working in the engineering field for two years, I decided to work closer to home and my new young family.  I joined the family business, a retail hardware, and enjoyed the people and interaction that are associated with a retail situation.  My husband began a security company, Fortress Security, in 1998 where I became involved primarily as office manager.  Again I enjoyed the people and new technology of this service industry.  I became involved in real estate in spring of 2011, once again looking for a new challenge and opportunity to work with and help people.

Also a Benzie County native, my husband Jim and I have been married since 1993.  We have three boys that keep us active with school, sports, swimming, boating and snowmobiling.

Personal Interests

My personal interests include variety of outdoor activities including running, biking, golf and spending time at the lake.  I also enjoy a wide range of sports, including baseball and hockey, but my passion is football and the Green Bay Packers.

My professional background is varied and has been a winding road that brings me to real estate.  As a business owner of varied products and services, I consider my career experiences an asset when connecting people to properties.

  • Fortress Security (1998 - present) - co-owner and office manager.  We provide a variety of services for residential and commercial security / fire / access control / cctv systems. 
  • Nugent Ace Hardware 1995 - 2007 - co-owner.  Retail hardware management and customer service.
