The earth movers are busy in Otsego County this spring!  The site for the Meijer store has been cleared and the excavators are moving dirt to prepare for construction.  The I-75 construction project is also underway.  Crews are working to move utilities and excavators are starting to move earth to raise the roadway for the eventual connection of McCoy and Milbocker roads as an alternate east-west passage to M-32.

The enhancement to the expressway will not only relieve some of the congestion on M-32 but increase the access to the S. Otsego Avenue (Old 27) business district.  Businesses in the district such as Ace Hardware and others should have more exposure to drive by traffic because of the Gaylord I-75 project.

Construction sometimes means slow downs for travel in the short term but in the long term it points to an up turn for Gaylord!
