Professional Real Estate Background

I learned the real estate "trade" from a dear old friend who has since passed away. He was buying and selling land and homes back in the late 50's when I was hanging on my mother's apron strings. He would love to buy waterfront properties. Lakes, rivers, creeks, swamps you name it, anything that had trees and water. My professional background was taught to me with a "hands on" approach. I firmly believe that you cannot help others invest unless you invest yourself. Since my early years of learning the real estate business I have bought and sold properties all over west Michigan.

My formal professional and real estate training came Muskegon Communtiy College where I earned an Associate Arts Degree, and from the West Michigan Association of Realtors where I earned my GRI designation.

Your Home is an Investment.

My biggest professional goal is to help people invest wisely.  Buying a home or investment property is a big decision, and one that should not be made lightly.  Buying a home is typically the biggest investment that most people will ever make, and a poor choice of investment can affect you for years to come.  Real estate can and will make you money, and will give you years of enjoyment if you know what you are doing when you purchase a home.  I can provide knowledge and expertise obtained from many years of personal and professional investment experience.

Personal Background

I never thought that growing up on a dairy farm would be the beginning of a career in selling real estate. I believe my love for the land and the change of seasons, along with my love for the outdoors led to my career in the real estate business.  For me, it is the perfect job.

I love to hunt, fish, ski, sail, and talk to people who love to do the same. West Michigan is one of the most beautiful areas in the world.  I love being here, and working with people who appreciate the area too!

Personal Interests

I love deer hunting and fly fishing, skiing, and sailing our boat, "The Blue Moon" with my wife and daughter.  You might as well have a hobby for every season or else the weather will make you crazy!

I also sponsor a race car at our local Race track Winston Motor Speedway, who in 2012 became in The National UMP Dirtcar Factory Stock Champion.
