Welcome, I'm CHARLES HARRIS. I have lived in Michigan most of my life and travelled extensively throughout our state, nation, and many foreign countries.
My home is in Grand Rapids where I have both lived and worked for well over 30 years.
Prior to becoming a Licensed Realtor, with the Westdale Co. in 2006, I was Employed as a mortgage loan officer for almost 4 years with an independent local mortgage company. After Westdale Co. was acquired by the new Coldwell Banker AJS Schmidt Company in 2007, I have been a Coldwell Banker Agent, at the 300 E. Beltline Ave. NE Office, Grand Rapids, MI. 49506.
My advanced real estate sales training has earned me several Certificates, including the Designation of "Certified Negotiation Specialist", as of August 28, 2007. Also, my successful transactions with some clients, as both Buyers and Sellers, include both 1st Time Home Buyers, and a different set of clients-Sellers' listing their Lakefront Home (on Lake Michigan) in South Haven, with me for over $1-Million Dollars in March, 2008. More recently, a Cartus-Employer/Employee Transferee from Florida to Covert, Michigan's Palisades Nuclear Plant attended one of my open housetours. He was so impressed with my salesmanship that he became my client. This transferring Buyer had Cartus to make the change in Agents, and make me his preferred-designated agent.
I attended Grand Valley State Colleges, now Grand Valley State University, beginning in1968. While working full-time and raising a family with my wife (Ruth), I continued my college studies part-time over the years until graduating in 1981 with a degree in General Business (BS) and minor in Social Studies. I continued with graduate school, while working as an Administrative Aide, for Telecommunications in the Management Information Systems Department - City of Grand Rapids, for 5 years. I earned a Masters of Administration (MA) Degree graduating in 1994.
My work experience and background has equipped me with a versatility of knowledge and skills, as well as a personality and communications-style that makes friends easily. I have often received compliments for being considerate of others, their needs, and well-being, as well as respectful of differing points of view or perspectives.
I continue to enjoy my work relationships with colleagues in the Real Estate business, as well as my on-going work and associations with customers and clients alike.
