The simple phrase "The Difference is in the Details" is not only a guiding principle, but it's what sets us apart in how we transact business and interact with our clients.  For 16 years, my wife Mary and I have worked together full-time to ensure that every transaction is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

By working together as a team we are able to provide our clients with different perspectives, greater accessibility and a broader range of skills and abilities.  Many people couldn't work with their spouse, but our clients have found that our strengths complement each other to their benefit.

Since 1992 Dave and Mary have worked as full-time Realtors, first with AJS Realty and now with Coldwell Banker AJS-Schmidt after a merger of the two companies in 2006.

Community Involvement

  • Toys for Tots - For several years Mary has organized the Toys for Tots collection in our office.  Our office annually donated over 2000 toys, more than any other organization in the greater Grand Rapids area.
  • ICCF (Inner City Christian Federation) - a non-profit housing organization, both Dave and Mary donate their time and energy to assist ICCF in acquiring and selling real estate.
  • God's Kitchen - Together with a number of the agents in our office Dave and Mary volunteer their time preparing Meals on Wheels and serving hot dinners to those in need in the Grand Rapids area.
  • East Grand Rapids 4th of July Fireworks Celebration - Annually Dave and Mary have been lead sponsors of the 4th of July fireworks in their hometown of East Grand Rapids, a spectacle enjoyed by thousands.
  • East Grand Rapids School Carnival - Annually Dave and Mary are the major sponsor of the Breton Downs Elementary school carnival, the PTO's major fundraiser.
