Personal Background

I have had the extreme pleasure during the past 37 years of my life's journey to still be married to my college sweetheart, Eileen.  We have three wonderful children, who have grown and started families of their own.  We are blessed with four precious grandchildren who we enjoy every moment we can.


My Professional Background

I have received two degrees; one in Business Administration and one in Business Management from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan.  In 1972, I became an owner of a retail marina with a Sea Ray franchise, located on Torch Lake in northern Michigan.  In 1978, I was presented with the unique opportunity to sell my marina interest to my two partners and was able to plan, develop and build a 219 slip marina called Northwest Marine in beautiful Charlevoix, Michigan, on the shores of Lake Charlevoix.  Since this time, I have been involved in the development of four major marinas on the Great Lakes.   

I have developed a specialization in operating as a "Court Appointed Receiver" for banks needing assistance in foreclosed, bankrupt and defunct developments they have received back from the developer.  Please see the Court Appointer Receiver page for further information.
