Dick Smith

Dick has been a real estate professional in the Traverse City area for 50 years. Having served many years as Dick Smith & Co., he merged with Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors® in 1996 as an Associate Broker and is active in Residential and Commercial markets. He is a past president of the Traverse Area Association of Realtors®, current member and past president of the Traverse Area Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed co-chairman to develop Leadership Grand Traverse, a program designed to educate potential leaders willing to serve where needed in our governing body. The program is in its 16th year, graduating 25 - 35 individuals each year.
Dick and Mary, who were high school sweethearts, were married in 1942. They have three children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dick and Mary are active members of the St. Francis parish. In their free time they enjoy downhill skiing, sailing and traveling.
