I began my real estate experience in 1973. Although I was not a sales associate, I learned the fundamentals of Real Estate sales from some of the best in the Greater Lansing area while helping the agents with their day to day tasks. I was employed with Westdale Real Estate for six and half years and than left for a short while to start my family.
In the summer of 1980 I entered into the Banking/Mortgage profession working for Waterfield Mortgage and for the next twenty two years chose to learn and experience all that I could, again working with and around the best in the Greater Lansing area. As with most professions I started from the bottom up. I began as a closer, processor, and worked my way to becoming a loan specialist, underwriter for FNMA, Freddie Mac, HUD and VA and finally managing a satellite office in Jackson.
In 1999 my husband and I moved to Northern Michigan where I had been spending most of my young life enjoying summers on property that our family had settled in the late 1800s. For me, the move was exciting and challenging to continue my lending experience in a new enviroment thus my employment with First Community Bank of Petoskey was a true value of not only getting to know the people and community but doing what I enjoy most, meeting and helping others.
In 2003 I ambitiously returned to Real Estate but this time in sales with Re/Max of Petoskey. I knew that all of the above experience was priceless in helping my clients, as I had an enormous amount of success working in or around sales and not only sharing my knowledge to my clients, but learning from them as well.
My how the business has changed since 1973 with agency and technolagy but I love this business and look forward to each and everyday to the challenges and experiences that it brings.
