I'm a person you'd call "local" having been born and raised in Benzie County.  A Realtor gets involved with many, many people in various businesses, and I'm happy to say that it's a pleasure working with everyone. I enjoy meeting people, seeing properties and working with both buyers and sellers.

 Benzie and Manistee Counties are two of my favoriet places. Lake Michigan, with it's endless sandy beaches is a great place to play. We have so many inland lakes and rivers, walking and skiing trails that it's hard not to find something to do. Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore is a great adventure drawing people from all over the world. 

Community Involvement

I've been involved in local government for the past 22 years serving on the Benzonia Township Board. I'm also acting as secretary/treasurer of the Benzonia Township Memorial Park Committee.

The Memorial Park is located behind the Chrysler Dealership. This 30 acre park is very popular to everyone in the community. We have a great picnic/playground area, ball fields and soccer fields set up at the park. There's something for everyone and we're glad to see that it's used so much.

Personal Background

I've lived in Benzie County my entire life. Jim and I got married in 1973 and have two great children and one granddaughter. I enjoy playing the guitar, knitting and searching out the perfect antique. We live on Crystal Lake and enjoy the summer entertaining, boating etc. with our friends and family.

We own the Crystal Mini-Golf which is located on US-31 in Beulah next to the Dairy King. These two businesses have been an icon in Beulah since 1950, and we take great pleasure in seeing families enjoy a game of golf during the summer months.

Professional Background

I've been a licensed Realtor since 1989. I started out as a rental manager for 25 properties around Crystal Lake and Big Platte Lake and quickly added sales into my interests. I left the management area of the business within 5 years and worked only on the real estate business.

I work mostly with residential and waterfront properties in Benzie and Manistee Counties. Benzie County has so much to offer with Crystal Lake, Big Platte Lake, Little Platte Lake, Herring Lake, Betsie River and Platte River. We are a water wonderland. Crystal Lake is 9 miles long and 3 miles wide. Crystal Lake boasts great perch, white fish and trout fishing. Sailing, skiing and general boating and popular in Crystal Lake.

Benzie County Real Estate with it’s many lakes and rivers like: Crystal Lake, Big Platte Lake, Little Platte Lake, Lake Michigan, Herring Lake, Betsie River and Platte River are a drawing point for buyers.
