I graduated from Southfield High School, in the suburbs of Detroit. I received an Associate degree from Schoolcraft College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Michigan State University.

Personal Background
I am happily married, for 39 years so far. We have three children and 12 grandchildren. We raised our family in the Lucas/McBain area, then moved to Lake City after the kids had all left home. Since my husband was in broadcasting for the first half of our marriage, we moved alot. We have lived in the Detroit area, Fort Wayne, Indiana and also in Kansas City, Missouri. We always wanted to live in northern Michigan, and in 1977 we were able to relocate to this area. We love the lakes and woods and call this home.
Professional Background
The beginning of my professional career was in the teaching field. After our children were grown, I worked in the medical field for fifteen years. I spent part of that time in the Health Information Services department, where attention to detail was extremely important. I also spent about five years in the Laboratory as a phlebotomist. There again, attention to detail was of ultimate importance. In 2003, I began in Real Estate at Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors in Cadillac.
