Gaining Speed

With all new ventures there's the "turtle phase" where everything seems to be slow moving.  I'd find myself sitting at my desk in the office trying to come up with different things to do, navigating around and feeling like I wasn't getting much accomplished.  This is no longer the case.

I have now moved into the second phase which I will call.... "Monkey phase".... so this phase is a little harder to pair with an animal BUT I think Monkey is fitting.  Things have definitely sped up.  I'm getting more calls, more interest and gaining more wisdom in various areas.  At times I feel like I'm just sitting there dumbstruck then 2 minutes later I'm flying around the office printing, emailing, showing properties, trying to put 2 and 2 together as if I were a monkey just swinging from tree to tree.  This is an exciting phase but also can be overwhelming at times.

For me, the best thing to do is remind myself that once I've been going at it for a couple years I will be more well versed in the day to day happenings of the Real Estate business and this world won't seem as confusing.  I feel I've done well handling myself and really look forward to the day where I no longer need to rely on others to help me finish out the tasks at hand.

For now, I'm ok being a monkey...but I'd be lying if I said I was comfortable being one.  To try and ease this phase I've begun trying to organize everything in a way that makes sense to me.  Yesterday I purchased a daily planner (it's super cute btw) and a pretty clipboard/note pad combo... It's funny but these simple things make me feel more confident.  Until now I've felt like a person pretending to be something I'm not but I can honestly say that today, today I feel like I'm becoming a Real Estate professional.

Send me positive thoughts!
