Welcome to my Website

I have has been a full-time Realtor specializing in residential sales since 1994.  A consistent top-producing agent, I am also an Accredited Buyers Representative, a Real Estate Institute Graduate, am e-certified and have earned certification in Short Sales and Foreclosures Resources.

After spending many years vacationing in the Traverse City and Elk Rapids areas, always wishing that Sunday would never come, I made a permanent move to the area.  I have joined many community projects including Elk Rapids Harbor Days, volunteering at the Elk Rapids Chamber of Commerce, Elk Rapids Yacht Club, and worked extensively in my neighborhood Outreach program helping families feed and cloth their children between their weekly paychecks.

My husband and I enjoy boating, biking, working in the yard and spending time with our five children and seven grandchildren.

Professional Background

I started Real Estate in 1994 in Genesee County before moving "up state" to the Traverse City, Elk Rapids area.  Each year I made it a goal to attend as many classes as possible to better educate myself in todays market.  I completed my GRI; Graduate of Real Estate Institute; and later went on to get my ABR; Accredited Buyer Representative designation.  The past few years have been spent on understanding Foreclosures and Short Sales.  I have taken many classes on dealing with banks and how to market short sale properties.  I currently earned a certification in Short Sales and Foreclosures Resources.

Professional Interests

I volunteer at the Elk Rapids Chamber of Commerce with special events.  I have been a part of the Harbor Days Planning as well as Head Chair Person for the Evening on River Street events that take place every summer.

Education

Graduate of Fenton High School 1977

Baker College, Flint Michigan - 2 years

REALTOR - 1994

GRI Designation (Graduate of Real Estate Institute)

ABR Designation (Accredited Buyer Representative)

Community Involvement

Volunteer work has been a big interest for me starting with the neighborhood "Outreach East" program I was fortunate to be a part of for many years in Genesee County.  We helped families get through the month with extra food, clothing and/or help with their rent or heating bills.  I also helped run the Christmas project making sure all their children had presents under the tree along with a traditional Christmas dinner on the table.  Funds were all donations through local churches and businesses as well as caring individuals in the area.

I also stay involved in the Elk Rapids Chamber of Commerce as a volunteer in the office as well as helping organize and facilitate some of the towns festivals (Harbor Days), craft shows, Business After Hours, Evening on River Street and any other Chamber sponsored event.

Personal Background

I grew up in Fenton, Michigan and graduated in 1977.  I moved to Davison, Michigan in 1994 where all five of my children graduated.  I then moved to the Elk Rapids area in 2009 which will eventually be our final retirement area.

Personal Interests

Having a boat in the Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor for the past 7 years has been a great way to introduce me to this beautiful area.  For 17 years my husband and I have been enjoying all the small lakes that Michigan has to offer then we came upon Elk Lake and fell in love.  The channel that leads through all the other lakes and rivers to get to Torch Lake is just a beautiful adventure.  This became our place of interest.  When we bought the bigger boat, we had to find a place that would offer more space for adventure.  That is how we found the beauty of Lake Michigan.  We travel by boat to Traverse City, Suttons Bay, Charlevoix and other areas of interest. This is truly a great place to live.
