Personal Background

I was born and raised in Leelanau County, attended Glen Lake Community Schools, and despite living elsewhere for the past decade, have always called this place home.  My ties to the Glen Lake area stretch back four generations to 1939 when my great-grandfather purchased property and built our family cottage on the east shore of Big Glen.  Growing up, I took full advantage of the endless opportunities for adventure that Leelanau County has to offer. Swimming, sailing and waterskiing on the area's world-class lakes during the summer, exploring the woods in the spring and fall, and skiing on the slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain all winter long.  I've always returned to this area as frequently as possible during my time away, and after 4 years of college in New Hampshire and nearly 6 years working in banking in Philadelphia, I'm living back home in the area I love.

Professional Background

Upon graduating from college with a degree in economics, I joined PNC Capital Markets in their Philadelphia office. After completing the bank's analyst training program, I began work in the Debt Capital Markets group, assisting deal teams in the execution of both Middle Market and Large Corporate leveraged and investment grade transactions.  I left the bank after 5 1/2 successful years as a Senior Associate and Assistant Vice President, having made the decision to move back to my home town and begin work in real estate.

Personal Interests

I find great pleasure in pursuing a variety of outdoor activities.  Waterskiing, sailing my Hobie 18, road and mounting biking, trail running, and golf consume my free time during the warmer months and alpine and nordic skiing are my primary winter activities.  I'm also an avid home brewer and have begun developing my woodworking and cabinet making skills.
