Professional Background

Rich has an extensive background in sales. He was a retail manager for a large sporting goods chain and then continued his ski interest as a manufacturers rep during the 90's. He then moved to Harbor Springs in 2000, working for what was then Birchwood Realty. He then received his brokers license and began overseeing many of the day to day operations of Birchwood Realty, which he continued until the merger with Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors in 2006. Rich has now accepted the manager's position for Coldwell Banker's Harbor Springs office.

Professional Interests

Rich's real estate focus is in the luxury home market with a special interest in Birchwood Farms Golf & Country Club. Rich also has a fondness for larger tracks of land and has helped people find their own piece of paradise as far up as Canada.

Personal Background

Rich grew up in Central Massachusetts where he enjoyed many activities including boating, camping and developing a strong passion for music. As rich got older he took a run at various jobs throughout the east, finally finding his passion for skiing and becoming a ski shop manager for a large sporting goods chain and eventually working as a manufacturer's rep in the 90's. In 2000 the opportunity for Rich to move with his family to Harbor Springs came up. Rich and his son Max enjoy all the outdoors has to offer, skiing, hunting, golf and especially hanging out at their camp in Canada. Max (the future mayor of Harbor Springs), follows in his father's footsteps with his enthusiasm for fun and happiness. You can find the Rochette's out on Lake Michigan, on the ski slopes, or somewhere on one of Birchwood's Golf Courses.
