Having graduated from Marshall High School in Calhoun County, my college "career" at Michigan State University provided many more "professional" experiences than ever imagined. Apon earning my bachelors degree, I went on to earn my Masters and Educational Specialists Degree while working on my Doctorate in Curriculum Development and teaching in the College of Teacher Education at M.S.U. and Jackson and Lansing Community Colleges.
Teaching and coaching were (and are) in my blood but my Lansing experience rewarded me with the opportunity to work as a government affairs executive with the Michigan Manufactures Association (MMA) as I initiated their Small Manufacturers Council and Natural Resources Department. That position led to taking over the Executive Directors position with the Michigan Association of the Professions (MAP) representing 13 professions and over 3,500 members. Government Affairs is still a passion that drives me today!
