Community Involvement

Robbie has coached throughout Marquette County in Basketball, Football, and Baseball. as an educator for 20 years he did alot of coaching over those 20 years in Marquette. He has sat on the Little League Board and coached in Negaunee for 12+ years , Bringing one team to the State Finals only to get beat on a 2 run homerun in the bottome of the 6 th inning with two outs. Robbie has coached a Basketball program for 3rd grade and up over the past 15 years. He also does alot of volunteering for the local activities with the Booster Club, Irontown Association and various other school and city activities. He also sat on the Negaunee City Planning Commission for 6+ years.Also he has served as a volunteer fireman for 9 years in Negaunee.He also belongs to the VFW auxilary in Negaunee and the Richmond Twp club member as well.

Personal Background

Robbie a Michigan native loves the out doors and enjoys his time at camp with his family . He is married to Kelly who is also a U.P. native, together they are raising their six children. Cory age 23, Tony age 21, Jake age 18, Gabby age 17, Nick age 15, and Tyler age 14. Their camp in located in Tilden Twp. and is a rustic camp built by their grandparents years ago its parcel of land that has the Escanaba river running through it, which has the native coaster( Brook Trout) as its prize possesion. Together they enjoy watching and even coaching their children in their many different sports activities they get involved in. They both are Negaunee graduates as are three of the children to date with one more soon to follow. The family has a dog named Kolby and a cat named Lucky. Both Kelly and Robbie went away to school and worked as well BUT seemed to find their way back to the U.P. a place they always called home.A great place to raise children.a great place rich with tradition as is many parts mid-west. The school systems here in the U.P are fantastic and produce excellent students throughout the country.
