Hudsonville Michigan is a city in Ottawa County, Michigan.  It is also known as "Michigan's Salad Bowl" because of the crops that are grown in the muck fields surrounding the city.  For many decades onions, celery, carrots, lettuce and other crops have been consistently produced here and shipped throughout the U.S.  This muck land is the result of an ancient river bottom which created acres of dark, moist and productive soil.

The Hudsonville Public School District is desired by many area residents along with the Hudsonville Christian Schools.  The area features many attractive established and newer neighborhoods and is attractive to those desiring to commute to the Lake Michigan lakeshore communities as well as to Grand Rapids.

Activity was very brisk in this market throughout 2012 and continues to be so in the first month of 2013.  Inventory is limited and prices are increasing on both the low and higher end homes.  Sellers will benefit from the reduced inventory and buyers will be wise to shop early in 2013 to avoid the increased competition of the spring market buyers.  Interest rates remain very low and there is still MSHDA credit money available for those buyers who have not owned a home or have not owned one in the last 3 years.
