One of my favorite activities from May through October is visiting the various farm markets that can be found almost daily throughout the West Michigan area. Local, fresh produce, organic dairy and meat products as well as plants are abundant and the palette of colors are a treat to take in as you wander through these markets.
Take time to talk to the vendors and learn about their products and specialties. You will likely find something every time you visit about which you know nothing and you will come away with healthier, fresher products to be enjoyed in the ensuing days.
Here is a partial list of available markets in the area. The list is ever growing and you can learn about new or additional markets at www.westmichiganfarmmarkets.org.
