7 Monks Taproom and Low Bar Spirits and Concoctions names Traverse City one of the Top 10 Foodie Cities

Traverse City is a "new foodie haven" according to The Huffington Post. Restaurants like Trattoria Stella and The Cooks House celebrate local sustainable foods with a farm-to-table philosophy. In addition to award-winning restaurants, the region offers spectacular Napa-style wineries, farmers markets, and local specialty cheeses.

Trattoria Stella - Chef Myles Anton nominated for a 2010 James Beard Foundation award.

The Cooks House - Chefs Eric Patterson and Jennifer Blakeslee hail from Andre's, Las Vegas' Michelin-starred French restaurant.

For wine lovers, the city's Leelanau Peninsula and Old Mission Peninsula wine regions lie along the 45th parallel – the same latitude that gives the Bordeaux region of France its famous reputation.

Mario Batali, American chef and media personality, loves to spend his summers in Northern Michigan - he apparently loves the natural beauty and farm-to-table culinary lifestyle.
