Ever since I became a Realtor, I have had the pleasure of enjoying the comforts of some of Cadillac's lakefront properties on the holidays like this one - Memorial Weekend in Northern Michigan! From 1-3 p.m. visitors from in and out of the Cadillac area can leisurely tour this home and 3 others that have direct frontage on this 2500 acre all sports lake. I can just imagine my daughter coming here and having a ball walking out as far as she can (knowing mom is probably not liking her independence at only 5 years old). The owner of this home & his family have enjoyed this property as a Up North Getaway for many years. The owners have used the family room as overflow sleeping area with three sets of bunkbeds. The garage has a whole wall of storage and the floor is finished with indoor/outdoor carpet. My understanding is the family loves using this area on rainy days to play cards and let the kids run around - it is a great extension of the living space. Plus there is an additional detached garage for all of the garden stuff and storage for the jetski.
The yard is very inviting with a plush green lawn that looks like carpet. I know before I leave that I will take my shoes off and head out there to give the lawn a test run :) I love how much room there is inside and outside of this home. There is plenty of room for a large front yard and back yard unlike many lakefront homes where the cottage takes up the whole lot - this home is placed perfectly on this large lot.
