Traverse City Homes For Sale Troublesome For Buyers!

A  look at MLS data revealed a total of 695 active residential homes in Grand Traverse County as of 11/29/2017.  Of those 695 homes 136 of those were "Active Taking Back Ups"   Just for kicks lets assume that is a stable trend for available homes for sale.  This means there is approximately a 5 month supply of homes (695 / 136 = 5.1).  The fact is not even home builders can help to the degree needed for housing demands in Traverse City.  The low number of builders in Traverse City coupled with the time it takes to build just one home on averages (4.6 months)  bodes an intense struggle for home buyers and subsequently a predictable increase in home prices.
