Thanks for stopping by to visit with me on my Website!
When it comes to real estate agents, I know you have a lot of choices. Certainly, all real estate brokers and salespeople have to be competent and licensed by the State of Michigan, but not all have to share the same degree of dedication.
YOU are the reason I am here. I am ready, willing and able to assist you with your real estate needs here in the North Central area of our beautiful Upper Peninsula! Whether you're looking to purchase or sell a primary residence, vacation home, camp, recreational or investment property, I am here and dedicated to give you the personalized service you expect and deserve.
If you're looking for property, you can begin your search right now by entering your information in the search box above, then call, text or send me an e-mail and let me go to work for you. I'll get you the information you need and can arrange to show you ANY of the properties listed, no matter which real estate company has their sign out front.
My clients always come first and can contact me anytime. Should I happen to be on another call (or, yes, in an area with poor cell signal) and am unable to answer your call immediately, be sure to leave your name, number and a message so that I may promptly return your call.
I'm glad you're here, so let's get started!

I am a current Director on the Upper Peninsula REALTORS' Board of Directors.
For over 35 years, I've enjoyed working in the building materials industry: Here in the Upper Peninsula, I've successfully managed retail lumber yards, been a territory manager for a national building material distributor, as well as a home improvement installed sales representative. I've always enjoyed helping people find solutions by matching them up with the right product to fill their needs; in all endeavors, my commitment to excellence in customer service & personal integrity was my primary focus. As a REALTOR, I pledge to conduct myself and my business according to the high standards of the REALTORS Code of Ethics.
As a licensed real estate professional here at Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors, I will work to earn your trust as a REALTOR, helping you with perhaps one of the largest investments you'll make.
After growing up in Vassar, a small community in the farmlands of Michigan's Lower Peninsula "Thumb," I first moved to Marquette in 1975 to start graduate school at Northern Michigan University. After graduation, I accepted a management position with 41 Lumber here in Marquette and began my long business career in the home improvement & building material industry. Over the years, company promotions moved me around the Upper Peninsula --I've lived in both the Copper Country & Iron Mountain area before coming back to Marquette.
I love the U.P. and all the beauty and opportunity it has to offer. I love the smaller population centers scattered in the vastness of the peninsula's 16,452 square miles; I love the rugged landscape of land & lakes; and I love the distinctness of the U.P. seasons. Most of all, I love the Marquette area. This is where I choose to work and enjoy life! I am blessed with wonderful adult children: Michael (& his wife Lindsey), and Brooke (& her husband Jon.) I also have a grandson, Daniel, and a granddaughter, Olive.
Aside from real estate, I have many personal interests, but I particularly enjoy music (I play guitar); photography (I like family, landscape & wildlife subjects); competitive bullseye pistol shooting (I'm a member of the Negaunee Rod & Gun Club and the NRA); and ANY opportunity to travel, especially on my Harley.
I've been passionate about motorcycles for most of my life. I got my first motorcycle, a Harley Davidson, in 1966 when all my buddies had Hondas. I'm a life member of the Harley Owner's Group and a local HOG chapter member since 1992. Usually, time constraints keep me riding the roads here in the U.P., but when I have a chunk of vacation time, I love to head out of state, usually west of the Mississippi. I have been "out west" numerous times and plan to continue my touring passion, seeing this great and beautiful country from the seat of my Harley, for as long as I'm able!
