Toyota announced it will be spend $100 million in advance research with the University of Michigan. This comes on top of an additional $187 million investment Toyota announced last year to create an advanced research institute near Ann Arbor due to open this year.
"I think Michigan will continue to be a hub for advanced technology research," and (paraphrased) - "Toyota is smart for deciding to take advantage of U-M's advanced research capabilities. In the future more automotive innovation is likely to come from universities."
