South Haven is a year ‘round beach town with an easy ambiance.  For over 100 years vacationers have enjoyed its 5 miles of white, sandy beaches.

South Haven is well known by visitors for The National Blueberry Festival.  For residents and visitors alike, it has a growing arts and culture scene.   The Foundry Hall in downtown South Haven brings original music, visual and performing arts, films and comedy as well as a banquet and community event center.  There is a large city skating rink, farmers’ markets and u-pick locations.  It is located in the heart of southwest Michigan’s wine county. 

The 34 mile Kal-Haven trail is popular with bicyclists and snowmobilers.  HawksHead Links was rated 4 ½ stars rating by Golf Digest as one of the best places to play in America.

South Haven has a public school district and parochial schools.  Additionally, Western Michigan University and Lake Michigan College have branch campuses near the city.
